FirstFID Software for the MicroFID II

Photovac introduces FirstFID software for wireless communication with the MicroFID II

The MicroFID II represents the newest generation in flame ionization detection with integral Bluetooth wireless technology to quickly send data measurements to a handheld computer or mobile phone The FirstFID software quickly and easily enables connection of the MicroFID II signal for real-time readings on the handheld computer. With the MicroFID II in a backpack,  the technician can make free use of the sampling wand and the handheld device. The FirstFID can also restart the flame from the handheld computer if flameout occurs.

The following are screenshots of the FirstFID software as it would appear on a hand held computer in the field.

1. When the FirstFID software opens, press "Search" to locate your instrument's Bluetooth ID.

2. In a moment your instrument's Bluetooth ID will appear.

3. Select your instrument and press "Connect"

4. Your handheld computer will show the real-time concentration from the MicroFID II

5. When a Flame Out occurs, you can restart the MicroFID II remotely through the FirstFID software on your hand held computer.

The FirstFID software displays two decimal places for concentrations under ten, one decimal place for values under 100, and whole number concentrations for values over 100.

Depending on your application, Intrinsically  safe and non-intrinisically safe hand-held computers are available.
