For landfill monitoring activities, the detection of methane and non-methane concentrations are required. The EnviroFID reliably measures methane, and when equipped with a charcoal filter, can be used to obtain non-methane Total VOC. The EnviroFID automatically subtracts the background from the sample and records the difference, or the non-methane VOC reading.

The MicroFID II is the latest innovation in Landfill Methane Monitoring. The MicroFID II was built with Landfill Gas Monitoring in mind, and features some unique innovations. The MicroFID II has an unparallelled 70 hour hydrogen cylinder, as well as Bluetooth wireless technology. Photovac has partnered with Trimble Technologies to include an onboard GPS that logs the coordinates of readings, and uploads them to a website for remote viewing. The DataFID meets and exceeds  EPA Reference Method 21 for Determination of Volatile Organic Compound Leaks. This flame ionization detector is also Intrinsically safe for use in hazardous environments.

The Sentry is a Rack-Mounted On-Line Siloxane Monitor for Landfill Gas-to-energy plants. Siloxanes that are present in landfill gas coat the internal workings of the bio-gas engine and significantly reduce the useful life of these machines. The Sentry Gas Chromatograph can seperate and identify these Siloxanes to aid in a siloxane removal system.
