WALTHAM, MA, January 15, 2008 — Photovac, Inc., the manufacturer of premium instruments for VOC analysis in air, soil, and groundwater, announces the introduction of the new 2020ComboPRO photoionization detector for VOC detection, combined with benzene measurement capability. The 2020ComboPRO features an easy to read display that provides simultaneous VOC measurements of real-time, Peak, TWA (time-weighted average) and STEL (short term exposure level) readings. With the addition of the optional benzene pre-filter tube, accurate and reliable benzene measurements can be performed.
“Being able to measure either total VOC content or the specific amount of benzene present provides a very versatile instrument with a wide range of capabilities,” said Frank Wezniak, Chairman of Photovac, Inc. “That's Photovac's goal in all of its products.”
The 2020ComboPRO boasts a wide measurement range of 0.1 ppm to 10,000 ppm, and audible and visual alarms alert the operator when pre-defined limits are exceeded. The ProComm software allows data download of over 10,000 reading stored in the instrument, making record keeping and documentation a simple task. With its rugged design, the 2020ComboPRo is an ideal device for environmental, emergency response and industrial hygiene gas monitoring applications; and it is rated intrinsically safe for explosive environments.
