Portable Hand Held GC

Portable Hand Held GCs (Gas Chromatographs) allow the user to make accurate measurements of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), both identification and quantification, in the field at the source of the material. Photovac provides a family of four instruments for various type of VOC monitoring, using either a photoionization detector (PID) or Electron Capture Detector (ECD). Typical applications include gas leak detection, BTEX analysis, Benzene detection, soil gas analysis and confined space gas monitoring.

What portable hand held gas chromatographs does Photovac offer?
Photovac offers two portable gas chromatographs to meet various application requirements; the PetroPRO and the Explorer.

Why would I buy a PetroPRO?
The PetroPRO is designed for BTEX analysis applications, especially where Benzene detection is important in the petroleum – chemical industries. The user interface is designed to provide ease of use for specialized applications. It is an Intrinsically safe unit.

Who would prefer an Explorer?
The Explorer is a very versatile, capable unit and is the most technologically advanced portable GC on the market. With a three column configuration and an isothermal oven the instrument can perform fast GC analysis of hundreds of VOCs.

How long will the unit operate on a full battery charge?
Photovac's Portable Hand Held GCs will last for 8 hours on a full battery charge.

How reliable are the instruments?
If they are properly maintained the instruments are accurate and reliable in a variety of envinromnetal conditions.

Does Photovac provide a warranty on the units?
Photovac provide a one year warranty on all of its products for defects in material or workmanship.
